Drawing on her bicultural heritage, she creates immersive works that weave personal and collective narratives, engaging with ritual, cosmology, and the materiality of culture. Recent projects integrate photography, sound, and textiles to map memory, ancestral knowledge, and diasporic connections, inviting audiences into spaces where past, present, and unseen energies converge.
Dilayla obtained her bachelor's degree in fine art photography at the "Serra i Abella School of Art and Design" in Barcelona, Spain. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions, nationally and internationally.
