ABOUT
  NEWS

Dilayla Romeo is a visual storyteller, photo-media artist and researcher, who is passionate about physically engaging nature and organic processes in her interdisciplinary art practice. Her practice builds on alternative and experimental photography; including intercultural and art-science research, and cross-disciplinary collaborations.

Dilayla’s recent research focused in African healing plants significant to the Mozambiacan Cosmologies. Her art practice is a vibrant tapestry woven from alternative photography, intercultural dialogues, and scientific explorations, pushing the boundaries of the lens to capture the soul of living processes. Intercultural whispers and spiritual insights fuel her interdisciplinary exploration, blurring the lines between artist and environment.

Dilayla obtained her bachelor's degree in fine art photography at the "Serra i Abella School of Art and Design" in Barcelona, Spain. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions, nationally and internationally.
